Over the years, we have learned the secret sauce of CORE Improv has been the coaches. A good CORE coach brings their own natural qualities, including humor, charisma, high emotional IQ, and dependability. But certain things must also be added to that mix which only come from experience and mentoring. Our most successful and long-standing coaches have had years of performance and coaching experience, plus guidance from previous CORE coaches. Every coach is encouraged to bring their unique approach, but there's no replacement for insight handed from one coach to another.

So there are two semi-related announcements we want to make.

We are looking for new CORE Coaches to join the team. Ideally, a coach would have improv coaching experience and/or be willing to go through the certification described below. They would also be able to provide coaching during the weekday, as close to 3:30 pm as possible. Many of our clients are used to sessions starting as late as 5:30pm, but they are begging for earlier times. There is little or no regularity to the coaching schedule. Each coach delivers training at minimum of once each semester, and as often as twice a week during peak periods. If you are interested, please send your improv resume to bjswoboda@yahoo.com. You will need the ability to drive, a car, an internet connection, a clean criminal record, and an interest in learning how to coach improv effectively. Coaches are paid as contractors.

Also, we are announcing a CORE Coach Certification "Beta." Again, all you need is the ability to drive, a car, an internet connection, a clean criminal record, and an interest in learning how to coach improv effectively. There is no cost. It's a beta! We'll provide training materials, mentoring, and even opportunities to get your hands dirty. Again, it's a beta, so we'll work with you to adapt it and make it a strong program. Ideally we would have a "class" go through the program together, so please contact bjswoboda@yahoo.com by the end of August.

Bottom line, you could become an actual CORE Coach, a Certified CORE Coach, or both.

Thanks for your time!
